We had an issue with our kitchen light, and we received a recommendation for Belknap Electric from a friend. However, I was rather dissatisfied with their service and professionalism. I called them to ask to come out to look at the light fixture, and repair some wiring so I can install the unit itself. Instead of coming out to repair anything, they thought I had asked them for a quote on the job, and the guy that arrived didn't have the proper tools/equipment to do the repair job. I was told that they would fill out a work order, and then call us to schedule a date/time for them to come out. A week passed with nothing heard, so I called them to ask what was up. The guy at Belknap was very rude, and told me very sternly that I was supposed to call them, not the other way around, which I am positive they did not tell me to do.
When someone finally came out to repair the wiring, they fixed up the wiring, and I was pleased with their work, as well as the final price. However, he had to remove some plaster from my ceiling, which was fine. He apologized to me for making a mess on my kitchen floor. I told them that it was okay, and that's what brooms are for. He then replied, "That's what wives are for." I asked for an electrician, not a sexist. While he did a good job on the wiring, I was flabbergasted by his sexism, and did not appreciate his lack of professionalism. In the end, I would not recommend Belknap Electric, and I will definitely NOT be calling them again.
