Just found this place lately - excellent selection on board games and a super ambience to the place. Looking forward to going here for years to come!
Level UP is a great place to play and connect with other players of your favorite games. When I walked in for the first time I was greeted by several players at their tables and the staff. It's a very welcoming atmosphere with plenty of breathing room and elbow space to mingle and play any games. I've been going back every Wednesday for legacy magic the gathering and would love to welcome you to attended as well. In spite of the fact that I'm not very good at playing yet it has not deterred me from going back just to have fun with everyone else.
They don't actually sell comic books. They ordered them maybe a few times, then said oh we stopped ordering them. Why bother starting a business if you don't have a clue how to run a major part of what's in your store name? Seems like this place quickly became solely focused on trading card games and 40k type stuff, which personally is of no interest. Most of the board games they have you can just go get at Target or from Amazon far cheaper. As much as I'd love to see a good modernized competitor to collector's connection in Duluth, this is not it.
The staff is amazing, loved that someone greeted us as we came in. Great selection of games, will definitely be back to check out game nights.
This place has come a long way in a short time and looks to be getting better all the time. I'd like to see a bit more openness to having folks try out games and a snack counter, but it's worth a stop when you're in town.
