Low class
Super friendly staff. They accommodated our late night checkin too. The flexibility was much appreciated.
Cheapest place to rent a room for a night.. They might even do hourly, but don't quote me on that. I like a cheap business, always! I have nothing but praise for those who take on generous deeds.
Stay away from this place.
My wife and I needed a last-minute place to stay on a weekend around Duluth for cheap, so we called Budget Motel to see if they had any rooms available. They said there were two rooms available, one for $55 and the other for $75 (they were really trying to sell me on the more expensive one). We finally arrived and the whole place looked really sketchy—beyond normal motel-sketchy—and we're fairly accustomed to staying at old motels. We then found the office door locked, which made everything even more sketchy as though they were afraid of being broken into. After being let in by one of the motel owner's children, the lady I spoke with on the phone helped me at the desk, except that the rates of the rooms were now $65 and $75 (she again tried to sell me on the more expensive room). She wouldn't even admit that she said $55 over the phone multiple times. So at that point I didn't even care if I spent more money at another place to stay than being ripped off by a little old foreign lady trying to make a few extra bucks at her janky motel. We ended up driving to Grand Marais and stayed at a much nicer place that was only slightly more expensive.
Arrived with confirmed reservations and they DIDN'T have our room. After driving 8 hours, that REALLY sucked.
